RUBBER CHICKEN THEATER PRESENTS
MOTHERHOOD OUT LOUD
Who has the toughest job in the world? If you said "Duluth TV weather people", you would be incorrect and silly. No, the toughest job around is being a mom. That's why Rubber Chicken Theater would like to celebrate all aspects of that wonderful, hilarious, and challenging occupation with their spring production of Motherhood Out Loud. It will be staged for one weekend only--Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, May 3-5, in the Spirit of the North Theater at the Fitger's Brewery Complex. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7pm. Sunday is a 2pm matinee. Tickets are $18 per person, unless you bring your Mom. Then everyone in your party gets $3 off the admission price.
Motherhood Out Loud is a collection of monologues and short scenes that shatter traditional notions about parenthood and unveil the comedy, and the heartache, of being a parent. It is a joyous, moving, hilarious, thrilling play, authored by a dazzling array of writers, including playwrights Leslie Ayvazian and Beth Henley, authors Claire LaZebnik and Luanne Rice, TV writer Marco Pennette (Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives), and many others. Motherhood Out Loud celebrates the deeply personal truths that span and unite generations. It also contains adult language because mothers sometimes have to use that. Motherhood Out Loud is directed by Molly O'Neill and features Cathy Berggren, Michelle Strand Juntunen, Rosy Dey, and Taylor Martin-Romme. This production will be Molly and Michelle's Rubber Chicken Theater debut, although both have worked with several Twin Ports theater companies. Rosy has appeared with Rubber Chicken Theater in past Chicken Hat Plays and last October's version of Evil Dead: The Musical. Taylor is a Rubber Chicken Theater veteran, having appeared in many Chicken Hat Plays and holiday sketch comedy revues.
